Saved searches & email alerts
Saved Searches allow you to store your preferred search criteria. You can then quickly search again at any time, or receive email alerts when new adverts match your search.
Look for the
'Save this search' links at the top of search result pages.
A checkbox next to each Saved Search enables you to subscribe or unsubscribe from receiving by email when new properties match your search. If you already subscribed to our 'headlines by email' service, you will find your property alerts are combined with your daily update email.
You must register to use the Saved Searches.
Clippings
Clippings are a form of bookmarking. They enable you to quickly return to adverts that you have previously found.
Look for the
'Add to clippings' link at the top of every property advert.
When creating a Clipping you will be prompted to provide a description and some tags.
Descriptions allow you to store notes about the property (e.g. 'near a good school, has a big garden').
Tags are a form of keyword categorisation. As there is no limit to the number of Clippings you can store, you may find tags are useful when browsing your collection. Store a list of tags with each Clipping (e.g. 'Victorian house, off-street parking, 2 bedrooms').
You must register to use the Clippings.
RSS feeds
RSS is a standard format for distributing website data.
Look for
'RSS' icons at the top of every search result page - these link to the corresponding RSS feeds.
When used with an RSS Reader the feeds allow you to be notified whenever new properties match your search criteria.
For more information on RSS and its uses, please read our XML Feed FAQs.
